Voice interviews that wait for the answer

Voice is the default modality because most hiring decisions still hinge on whether someone can explain what they know out loud. Intervues optimizes for accent-diverse speech, patient turn-taking, and transcripts the reasoning layer can actually use.

Why voice-first

Resumes hide communication gaps. Voice interviews surface them early — but only if the system listens well. Generic speech-to-text tuned on a narrow accent set produces bad transcripts, which produce bad follow-up questions.

Intervues calibrates for Indian English and models silence in tiers: a short pause is thinking time; a long pause gets a gentle rephrase — not an instant interrupt.

Architecture you can inspect

Capture, turn-taking, ASR, reasoning, scoring, evidence, and write-back are separate layers — see the full stack on the interview engine page. Voice quality is not a cosmetic setting; it is the input to every downstream decision.

Status

Candidate voice practice is live. Hiring-side voice screening runs through the same engine in pilot with design partners. We do not quote latency or word-error-rate benchmarks we have not measured on your population.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you support video?

Voice is primary. Video may be enabled for certain flows; presence and advanced integrity checks are on the roadmap and will be disclosed to candidates before capture — not claimed as shipped today.

Which languages?

Indian English (en-IN) is the primary locale today. Multilingual expansion is on the roadmap — see [multilingual interviews](/product/multilingual-interviews) for honest scope.
